Who We Are:

West Huron Early Childhood Learning Centre opened in 2011 and is located in the small, rural town of Zurich. Located adjacent to the Blue Water Rest Home it is London Bridge’s only intergenerational childcare centre. The centre itself consists of four classrooms, office and staff workspaces. Dieticians from the home prepare the meals in a full kitchen for both the children and the residents. Through a variety of collaborative activities, the children, educators and residents of the rest home have built strong relationships and formed a rich community where both our youngest and eldest citizens inspire and delight in each other. Taking advantage of their rural environment, the children spend a great deal of time in the large forested area next to the centre as an extension to their play in their outdoor playground.
